SUKABUMIUPDATE.com - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) telah resmi mengumumkan nominasi Academy Awards ke-98 atau Piala Oscar 2026 pada Kamis, 22 Januari 2026 di Dolby Theatre Ovation Hollywood, Amerika Serikat.
Film Sinners menarik perhatian dengan meraih 16 nominasi di Piala Oscar 2026, termasuk Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, dan Best Original Screenplay. Film besutan Ryan Coogler memecahkan rekor memegang nominasi terbanyak.
Selain itu, film thriller politik komedi One Battle After Another mendapatkan 13 nominasi. Sementara, film Frankenstein yang sempat ramai dibicarakan begitu tayang memegang 10 nominasi di Piala Oscar 2026 ini.
Film animasi yang viral Kpop Demon Hunters juga meraih dua nominasi di Oscar 2026 untuk Best Animated Feature dan lagu Golden di Best Original Song. Golden memecahkan rekor sebagai lagu K-Pop pertama yang meraih Oscar.
